Matthew Barrett

Matthew Barrett is a Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon with a special interest in shoulder and elbow surgery. He is interested in and experienced in all aspects of shoulder and elbow problems, from sports injuries and tendon problems to arthritis.
After completing his specialist training in Wessex, Matthew undertook a subspecialist shoulder and elbow fellowship in New Zealand, with an internationally regarded surgeon.
He is heavily involved in education and research, and has published extensively; including work on shoulder replacements, sports injuries and surgical techniques.
Matthew lives in Dorset and loves the outdoors, spending his free time running, kitesurfing or sea swimming.
