Peter Ward
FRCS

Peter Ward is a Dorset-based surgeon who has been practicing as a Consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedics for the last 9 years. He was born in Belfast and studied medicine at Bristol, Oxford and throughout Wessex. His final training was as an Arthroplasty Fellow in Adelaide.

Basic research into limb development led to an Masters Degree from Oxford, and since that time he has devoted his time to clinical orthopaedics and in particular to Hip problems.

Whilst continuing to work as a trauma surgeon the majority of his elective work is now in the lower limb, in particular surgery of the hip. Hip problems in the young adult, Hip Resurfacing and Hip Replacement / Hip Revision are major interests.

Other interests include sailing, running and keeping his garden under control.
